ANNA FORNBORG

Anna Fornborg is living in Stockholm. Creativity in different forms has always been a priority on her agenda - she has been engaged in dance, batik, weaving and above all painting. Along with this creative urge, she cultivates also a genuin interest for people, which has led to a university degree in psychology. In her job, she often uses picture and theatre as a complement to dialogue. This has also led her to pursue studies in "expressive art therapy", an activity that she exercises today in her own company along with painting.
Ever since her first separate exhibition ten years ago, Anna has let her paintings be accompanied by other forms of art. At her first exhibition, she had instruments put out around the paintings so that the visitors could play some tones as an "answer". At the following exhibitions, she wrote poems or had pieces of jewellery with the paintings. In the exhibition at Galerie Paname, textiles will accompany the paintings.

"When I create, I don't know from the beginning what it will be.
I invite colours and forms to take shape on the canvas. Sometimes there is something figurative and sometime it's an atmosphere that I want to communicate to the person who is looking on the painting."
