ABOUT THE ARTIST
Luis Hinojosa was born and lives in Bolivia. He started painting when he was a child and after graduating, he entered an art school where he studied for five years and graduated in 1989.
-Art is the most pure emotion in human beings, says Luis, and that's what attracts him in art besides experimenting with differents painting methods.
Luis is often inspired by everyday motives in his paintings. When he is travelling, it's mainly the outer landscapes that attract his attention (most often painted in watercoulour), as in his paintings from Stockholm and the Swedish coutryside, whereas at home in Bolivia, it's mainly the inner landscapes that dominate, preferably painted in oil.
Luis returns this summer to Bolivia after a three-month stay in Europe during which he has lived and exhibited in Berlin, Barcelona, Copenhagen and now finally at Galerie Paname in Stockholm.
Luis has also a lot of exhibitions in Latin America, US and Europe behind him as well as prizes in Bolivia.
